The Colangelo Practice is a sanctuary for women - whose mission is to offer a safe space in which you learn who you are or forgot you are beyond survival or obligation, adaptation rather than choice, while restoring dialogue between mind, body, and emotional experience, and supporting more grounded connection with others.


How do we work?

The Colangelo Practice offers both in-person and online services. In-person psychotherapy is available in Ontario, including Toronto and the GTA, while online therapy is offered across Canada (subject to client location and applicable regulations). Non-clinical coaching and mentorship are available worldwide.

My Approach

Traditional Psychotherapy


Interventions are selected from established therapeutic traditions and tailored to the individual rather than applied through rigid protocols (CBT, EFT, SFT, DBT, ACT, Gestalt T., Narrative T., Person-Centred T. etc.)


Psychosomatics


Attention is given to the ways emotional experience, stress, and trauma are held and expressed through the body and nervous system.


Statistical Psychoanalysis


A statistically derived psychological profile is used as an analytic lens to clarify patterns, strengths, and internal dynamics, supporting self-understanding and therapeutic direction.


My Philosophy

The four streams - integrative psychotherapy, psychosomatics, statistical psychoanalysis, and wellness-informed understanding - are not offered as separate services, but as an integrated clinical perspective.

Integrative & Holistic

There is no one-size-fits-all therapy here. We work with the whole person — mind, emotions, and body — because real change happens when all parts of you are supported. Your wellness, daily life, and nervous system are part of the process, not separate from it.

Trauma-Informed

Safety and pace come first. We move gently and with care & respect to your experinces, recognizing that trauma is not only the big, obvious events. Often, it’s the experiences our nervous system quietly learned from — moments that shaped how we react, protect ourselves, and see the world. Together, we create space to understand these patterns without judgment and at a pace that feels safe for you.

Strenghs-Based

We don’t focus only on what feels difficult — we actively uncover and build on your strengths. Together, we identify the qualities, skills, and inner resources you already have and use them to support the areas that feel stuck, uncertain, or overwhelming. Your strengths become the foundation for meaningful change.

Culturally-Infused

Your culture, migration story, family traditions, and identity matter in this space. I approach this work with curiosity and respect, and I learn from you about the cultural worlds you move through. Together, we make room for the values, expectations, and experiences that shape your life so therapy truly fits who you are.

Your Questions, Answered

How do I know which service is right for me?

During an initial consultation, we explore your concerns, preferences, and desired outcomes. From there, we recommend an approach—or combination of approaches—best suited to your goals.


Can sessions be conducted online?

Yes. We offer secure virtual appointments alongside in-person meetings, allowing you to choose the format that fits your schedule and comfort level.


What payment options are available?

We operate on a straightforward invoicing model sent after each session or project milestone. Payment is to be completed via link within 24 hours of receiving the invoice.


Are you working with benefits / insurance?

Yes. Payment is made by the client at the time of service. After payment, an invoice is provided which you may submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement, according to your plan.

We do not offer direct billing.
