The Colangelo Practice is a sanctuary for women - whose mission is to offer a safe space in which you learn who you are or forgot you are beyond survival or obligation, adaptation rather than choice, while restoring dialogue between mind, body, and emotional experience, and supporting more grounded connection with others.
Hello
Hi, I am Olga Colangelo
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). CCPA, Member
Women’s Coach & Mentor (Non-Clinical Services)
My work is grounded in professional training and ongoing clinical supervision. I offer psychotherapy in person in the Greater Toronto Area and online across Canada, in accordance with provincial regulations.
In addition to my clinical work, I am also a women’s coach and mentor. While psychotherapy and coaching are distinct roles, both are grounded in a shared belief: meaningful change requires alignment between mind, body, and relationships. We cannot sustainably work on one area of life while neglecting the others.
My approach is integrative and multi-dimensional. Our work often moves through three interconnected areas:
• Relationship with self — identity, boundaries, emotional regulation, internal dialogue
• Relationship with others — partners, children, family dynamics, and communication patterns
• Relationship with work and purpose — career direction, leadership, business development, and living in alignment rather than obligation
Many women come to therapy feeling confined by expectations — living according to schedules, roles, and definitions set by others. My work supports women in stepping out of those inherited structures and building a life that reflects their own values, rhythm, and direction.
My integrative style is deeply influenced by my early career as a nutrition & wellness coach, which shaped my strong wellness orientation. I believe psychological conflict and chronic stress do not remain abstract — they are expressed in the body. A significant part of my work incorporates psychosomatic understanding, recognizing how unresolved internal tension manifests physically, and addressing both emotional and physiological regulation together.
I also integrate statistical psychoanalysis, a structured psychological profiling method based on numerical analysis. At times, we adapt so thoroughly to expectations that we lose clarity about our own patterns and motivations. This analytical lens provides additional insight into recurring tendencies, strengths, and internal conflicts — offering a structured map that can clarify what may be difficult to see alone.
As a mother of an autistic child, I have firsthand understanding of the emotional and physical strain carried by parents raising neurodivergent children. This population is often under-supported in mental health care despite the level of chronic stress involved. A meaningful part of my practice is devoted to supporting mothers navigating this complex and demanding role.
Alongside psychotherapy in Ontario and across Canada, my coaching and mentorship work is offered globally online, supporting women internationally in personal and professional development.
Across all settings, my work is grounded in one principle: when communication within the self becomes clearer — between mind, body, and emotional life — external relationships and life direction begin to reorganize accordingly.
Hope you got to know me a bit better!
See you soon,
Olga
